What Is Penetration Testing?

Every network has vulnerabilities.  These weak spots are what the bad guys take advantage of when they take over your network and steal your data.  Hijacked social media accounts?  Ransomware?  Intruders on your network?  You've been compromised because of an exploited vulnerability.

A vulnerability scan maps out your software.  It shows us where your patching problems are, and where your ICT Estate is misconfigured.  A Penetration Test uses the same tools and techniques as the criminals, we break your defences and walk straight into your network.  Just like the bad guys do.  It's the solid test you need to shore up your defences.

Why Do We Need To Be Pen Tested?

The bad guys are testing your network constantly.  24 hours a day, every day.  And they're checking you out to see where your site is vulnerable.

You have to realise that your configuration is already known by cyber criminals.  They have the software to map your network, they have a dark web chat room to discuss it, and all the motivation they need to attack you.

You have to assume that you have already been compromised, and that your critical data assets are exposed to the internet's cyber criminals.  From here on in, it's a just matter of time.  Not if, but when.
